Project Characteristics
For the offshore wind farm developments ‘Nordsee Ost’ in the Southern German North Sea and wind farm ‘Ijmuiden’ located in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea as well as associated infrastructure IMPaC has designed two met mast structures.
Accessibility of all equipment parts including moveable cantilever booms and retractable spigot for measuring instruments such as wind vanes and anemometers had to be developed for the basic design of the entire met mast structure. Also suitable positions for LIDAR and other equipments had to be determined. The met masts have been designed for 25 m water depth and for a height of about 96 m and 92 m above LAT alternatively.
Following documents have been prepared as part of the basic design for the entire met masts:
- General Arrangement Drawings
- Strength Check Report
- Material Take-Off (MTO)
