R+D Project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), Germany. The Project is carried out in co-operation with Wirth, Bornemann and the Technical University Karlsruhe.

Aim of the ISUP Project is the development of certain major components and techniques needed to qualify the Partners as a future supplier of general Underwater Production Systems for Hydrocarbons (Oil and Gas).

Project duration: 10/2006-09/2009.

Aim of the Project “CControl”, which is the IMPaC part of ISUP, is the development of a new and innovative System for Steering, Control and Automation of Subsea Production Systems (IMPaC-dCAS -distributed Control and Automation System).

The IMPaC Scope of Work comprises Subsea Modules of an underwater Local Area Network as well as a State-of-the-Art Control Station with SCADA Software environment for modern Asset Management. Communication between the Subsea Modules and the Control Station will be based on 1GB Ethernet, allowing process control as well as safety related control of Oil and Gas Production procedures.
