Project Characteristics

Aim of the ECUP3000 Project was the development of an integrated asset management system for underwater production of hydrocarbons. The project was carried out in co-operation with the Company Bornemann and the Universities of Karlsruhe (KIT) and Bochum (RUB).
In turn of the Sub-Project „Development of an integrated Monitoring Concept and an Asset-Management System including overal control“ IMPaC carried out the following tasks:

  • Development of an integrated Monitoring Concept, which in parallel allows supervision of all production processes, condition monitoring of System Components (Hardware and Software) as well as monitoring of the influence of production activities in terms of environmental aspects
  • Development of Concepts and Instruments for use in an integrated Asset Management System with focus on requirements of preventative maintenance. On basis of this Management System It shall be possible to develop a Model for operation optimization of Underwater Production Systems
  • Development of an ‘Environmental Management System’ for Underwater Production Systems
  • Automation of the integrated System Control (automated execution of action recommendations)
  • Establishment of an online based remote control / remote supervision of the Production System
  • Overall project coordination.
