Project Characteristics

IMPaC has prepared conceptual layout, basic & detailed design of a cooling water system including intake for the Ribatetjo Power Plant.

The detail design included the water intakes and outfall, pump stations, headers and surge vessels, buried and over ground 1.8 m diameter pipes in steel and GRP, pressure loss and water hammer calculations, hydraulic calculations of main cooling circuits, detailed stress analysis of headers and mitred bends and equipment specifications.

For the cooling water system for the 3rd turbine of the Power Plant IMPaC provided basic and detail design engineering including steady state and transient hydraulic analyses and stress analysis of pipe system. Detail design of steel and concrete structures was also part of IMPaC’s scope.
