Project Characteristics
IMPaC has prepared the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for a dock for Ice Breaking Emergency Evacuation Vessels (IBEEV) for drilling operations in the North Caspian by Cantilever Barge Rigs (CBR).
Purpose of the installation of the dock including evacuation facilities is to provide fast and safe evacuation for personnel of the CBR in case of an emergency.
The IBEEV dock together with the tunnel system, pontoons, fenders, IBEEV/Dock mooring system, towing systems and utility systems are designed for all year operation. The IBEEV dock structure has sufficient structural strength, sliding and overturning capacity to withstand the design ice loads, wave loads, wind loads and current loads.
A series of wave model tests have been carried out to determine the motion behaviour of the IBEEV’s when they are positioned in the Parallel Dock.
