Project Characteristics
The offshore wind farm ‘Nordsee Ost’ with a capacity of 295 MW is located 35 km west of Amrum in the German North Sea. IMPaC has carried out the detailed design for the met mast foundation including Finite Element (FE) based analysis with ANSYS software including:
- Ultimate strength analysis of met mast tower
- Ultimate strength analysis of working platform
- Ultimate strength analysis of foundation
- Ultimate strength analysis of overall structure
- Ultimate strength analysis of grouted connection between monopile and transition piece
- Fatigue strength analysis of overall structure
- Boat impact analysis
- Lifting analysis
- Flange connection analysis
Furthermore, IMPaC has carried out a pile drivability study and a pile driving fatigue study for the monopile foundation and has prepared corrosion protection and sour protection design.
