The project comprises the oil field development within a Mellitah Oil & Gas concession. The oil stations of the designated concession were built in the 80’s and 90’s and are interconnected with pipelines and flowlines.

IMPaC was contracted to prepare an “Option Study”, a concept development and concept evaluation, to develop the oil field for future requirements. Technological and cost evaluation (CAPEX / OPEX) and recommendations for the client. This also incl. a comprehensive Integrity Study to assess the current and future integrity of existing facilities in order to optimize the plant capacities and availabilities.

FEED packages for the selected concept:

• Gas utilization: Separation and treatment of the associated gas from all stations to be utilized for gas export via new pipeline and for power supply.
• Power supply: Optimization of power generation units at all stations in terms of size, stand-by and maintenance philosophy, power consumption for a reliable electrical power supply based on the available gas.
• Oil stabilization: Design of stabilization system incl. new equipment and technologies for crude oil dehydration.
• Waste water treatment: Evaluation of upgrade options for existing system to handle higher capacities and to increase reliability to maintain required water quality for re-injection or disposal.
• “Greenfield” development of complete new oil station, with all required utilities to handle production of existing and new oil wells. This includes additionally to oil stabilization: Gas dehydration to export the gas via new pipeline. Water Treatment for environmental friendly disposal. Power plant for autarkic power supply.

All engineering packages incl. the definition of LLIs and preparation of EPC tender package.
