The Nigerian Government requested expansion, rehabilitation and improved operation of the Afam Power Plant (APP). The objective of the Gas Receiving Facilities (GRF) Project was an early increase in power output from the refurbished APP V by supplying gas to the turbine driven generators and the elimination of problems with high levels of hydrocarbon condensates.
The facilities include 2 inlet HP separators, water bath heater for optional superheating, 2 filters in series for solid removal (> 5 microns), condensate storage tank (30 m³), open drain system incl. coalescer for oil removal, flare stack with integrated KO-drum, truck loading facility for condensate export.

For the Afam GRF Greenfield fast track project IMPaC provided integrated project development expertise and has significantly contributed to the first gas delivery in December 2005, as planned.
