Project Characteristics
The Histeria Block oil field installations are located 50 km offshore Constanta in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea and consist of six satellite platform complexes feeding into a central platform based production hub. New developments required life extension, upgrade and automation of the existing facilities.
The Petrom Offshore Upgrade Development Program was initiated for the:
- Development of production systems for oil and gas wells incl. Delta subsea tie-back and new Sinoe platform
- Safety process & automation up-grade for the entire offshore production installations and systems
- Central power supply and management solution
- Upgrade of all fire fighting systems
- Upgrade of the production water treatment and injection systems
- NAG compression solution
- ‘Re-classification’
Prior to commencement of the Development Program IMPaC prepared concepts for process safety & automation, oil / water treatment optimization, gas compression and subsea tie-back as basis for the FEED.
Key driver for the Program was to establish a safe and economical attractive oil & gas production, reducing CAPEX and OPEX for the additional field life in compliance with owner’s legal requirements.
